Good Morning Tiny Hopper Families!

Thank you all for being so patient for my first update on our blog while I settle in to my new position here at Findlay Creek.

It has been a fantastic few weeks getting to know the teachers as well as all of your lovely children! I have absolutely loved hearing all the funny stories and laughter in each of our classrooms. Sneaking into the toddler room for extra hugs and cuddles is always a bonus too!

There have been some changes here at our centre that I would like to share with you.

We said good bye to our lovely toddler teacher, Miss Erin on Friday. Erin has moved to Carleton Place and will be taking a job much closer to home.

Miss Kelsey has decided to pursue other opportunities as well and we wish them both all the best! They will be missed!

On that same note, we are very happy to welcome Miss Candyce and Miss Cheryl to our toddler room!
Together, Miss Candyce and Miss Cheryl offer over 15 years of experience between them and the children are already enjoying snuggling up with them for a story or singing along side them at circle time.

We also have Miss Annie joining us from 2:30-5:30 each day to assist in our School Age program. Welcome to all our new teachers!

Plenty of new faces and names to get to know but I feel confident that you will agree with me when I say we have a wonderful teaching team here at Tiny Hoppers!

Dear Parents,

I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I am leaving my position at Tiny Hoppers. I will be starting a new position with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board next month.

I have enjoyed my tenure here and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work with you and your children. I will miss everyone dearly, I have enjoyed every moment of working at Tiny Hoppers and I am very sad to go. My last day at Tiny Hoppers will be the 23^rd of August.

The new director will be Karen Joy, Karen has previously owned her own Nursery School “Stepping Stones Nursery School” which was located in Barrhaven. Karen has 20 years’ experience working in the field of Early Childhood Education, she is a Registered ECE and is also trained in the area of special needs with a specialty in Autism. Karen will be training at the Findlay Creek Tiny Hoppers from the 12^th – 19^th of August and will spend an additional week training at our head office location. Karen will begin working full time at Tiny Hoppers the 26^th of August. Karen is looking forward to meeting and working with you and your family.

Grad Pics!

Nursery Graduation Picture Day Wednesday June 5^th

Every year at Tiny Hoppers we have a graduation for our Nursery children as they complete our program in June! So this means we need some graduation pictures! Our photographer Misty Charlebois will be photographing the children on Wednesday June 5^th. Even if your Child does not attend on this day please bring them in so they can have their photo taken.  Currently we have no booked a retake date as we hope to get everyone in on Wednesday. However if a retake date is needed we will arrange for this.

Friday evening (morning for Nursery) is our Make A Wish Night. We will be selling our Make A Wish stars for $2.00! All of the money will go to make a child's wish come true! The children will be selling the stars as you are picking up at the end of the day and the teachers will be helping the children to hang their stars on our wall. Help us to make some wishes come true!!
